The Migration Statistics Quarterly Report released by the government in May shows that the number of people coming form abroad to live and work in the UK has fallen sharply last year. The Office of National Statistics said the decline concerned especially eastern Europeans who are leaving Britain in greater numbers than those arriving for the first time Eastern European countries joined the EU in 2004.
